Associate Spotlight: Jamyka Guerra

Meet Jamyka, a champion of authenticity and collaboration who has been a dedicated part of Fremont Bank for an impressive 15 years. As a key player in Loan Servicing, she supports strategic initiatives with a unique blend of genuine connection, teamwork, and strategic insight. When she’s not building meaningful relationships at work, Jamyka finds balance through her creative hobbies — gardening, crafting, blogging, crocheting, and reading on her Kindle. Her story is one of dedication, meaningful connections, and staying true to herself.

How long have you worked at Fremont Bank, and what’s your role? What does your day-to-day look like?

I’ve been at Fremont Bank for 15 years, and my role is all about supporting strategic initiatives within Loan Servicing. My day-to-day involves collaborating with teams across the bank to ensure that our projects align with broader goals and deliver meaningful results.

What do you enjoy most about your job? What motivates you each day?

What I enjoy most is the cross-departmental nature of my role. I love the opportunity to collaborate with associates at every level; it’s incredibly rewarding to meet new people and continue nurturing established relationships both inside and outside of Loan Servicing. For me, those connections are what make the work truly meaningful.

What’s your greatest strength as a business professional?

I think my greatest strength is authenticity. I pride myself on being the same person in every setting, what you see is what you get. Being the same person at work as at home builds trust and open communication that helps professional relationships thrive. I want my peers of all levels to know they can always count on an honest, genuine conversation, whether we’re by the water cooler or in the conference room.

What is your favorite movie genre?

Definitely sci-fi or fantasy. I’m a big kid at heart! I love anything that gets me to use my imagination.

Any favorite past or present hobbies when not at work?

Outside of work, if I am not spending time with loved ones, you can find me enjoying a left-brain hobby or two (or more)! I love gardening, crafting, working on my blog (coding, writing, or taking pictures for a campaign), crocheting, or reading on my kindle. These are my favorite ways to destress and relax!
